This June the NEBRC is launching a new 10 Little Steps programme, which will form part of the free, core membership offer for businesses.
The 10 Little Steps programme has been developed to provide businesses with a set of simple ‘steps’ to support their online security and reduce risk, covering:
1. The importance of passwords
2. Secure passwords
3. Protecting accounts with layered security
4. Keeping devices safe
5. Phishing emails and how to spot them
6. How to implement back up
7. Keeping devices up to date
8. Business and customer data
9. Cyber resilience
10. Anti-virus, encryption and firewalls
To receive the full programme, businesses simply need to sign up to the free core membership package at Core Membership Sign Up – North East Business Resilience Centre (nebrcentre.co.uk)
Free core membership will further ensure you stay up to date with the latest cyber security updates and gain access to a wealth of handy resources.
The 10 Steps programme has also been designed to support businesses working towards Cyber Essentials: the Government backed scheme to help SME’s keep secure online and prepare for recovery after an attack. Businesses that complete the 10 Step Programme are then able to work with the NEBRC Cyber Essentials Partners to obtain official certification.
